7 Items You Can't Travel Without
Growing up travelling for leisure, sports, and school, there were items we always brought with us to make travel easier. As I have gotten older and traveled more on my own and for business, I continue to add to the list.

Below are our top 7 items I recommend and must have when traveling whether solo, as a couple, or with family/friends!
1. Apple AirTags
Many people have heard non-stop about Apple’s AirTags and I have to agree with them all, they are AMAZING! Personal experience, we were flying from Raleigh, NC back home to Nashville, TN with a layover in Atlanta on Delta airlines. Love Delta, but our carry-on bookbags were forced to be checked at the gate. Knowing our layover was tight due to delays, I tracked our bags from layover until we landed back in Nashville, watching our bags be left behind in Atlanta…………
BUT thanks to the Airtags, I knew this before getting off the plane and waiting at baggage claim. Plus I took screenshots for proof and back-up when filing our claims. Some people may still think these are overrated, but I highly recommend to everybody especially when flying!
I thank my mom for finding these wonderful bookbags! Just the right amount of space to pack for long weekend trips in the winter and weeklong trips in the summer. Ebags has a variety of luggage but there bookbags are my favorite!
Each bag has pockets galore, cubes and pouches to separate your items, and the much-needed comfortable straps. The best part about these bags is if you don’t have “too much” in them and no additional personal item, they can count as your personal item. This prevents the ultimate luggage disaster I mentioned above, which none of us want to experience. (I have 100% learned for next time aka Europe trip this July!).
I provided the link to the Ebag bookbag I have that is no longer offered on their site and Amazon still has in stock.
*DISCOUNT ALERT: From now until 6/20/23, Ebag's is offering an additional 30% off site wide! Follow the link below to get this discount now before it is over:

Another item overheard time and time again, BUT cannot live without, the digital luggage scale. The above is packable on those long hauls to anywhere across the world to ensure your luggage stays within the weight limit.
Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of other options. But I have to admit, digital is easy, accurate within 2 lbs each direction, and slim to take it wherever you go. Also, highly recommend as a wonderful option as a small gift or stocking present around Christmas (aka. What my parents did this past year!).
Ok, no one needs my opinion on what portable charging banks are better and what is not. There are so many options out there BUT I will recommend my preference. To be honest, most options are great just depends on if there is a feature you are more picky about.
The reason I choose this dual pack was the ability to get 2 power packs & extensive amount of time between the two. No one will hurt my feelings if you use something different. Just let me know if you find something better and more reliable. Then I can share!
There’s a chance you may not be interested in traveling internationally. That’s ok! This is for those who wish or plan too.
Anyone going abroad, and I mean ANYONE!! Whether Caribbean, Europe, Asia, Middle East, etc, the extensive number of adaptors used to power and charge electronics is amazing. To minimize the difficulty in purchasing individual chargers and cords, someone, who I do not know, has created the International Wall Charging Adaptor. Above you will find the link to the one we were gifted and use in our travels.
Don’t get me wrong, there is a slight chance the hotel or resort you are staying at will have the traditional American charging plug. BUT high chance this is unlikely. So before you travel and have to spend a crazy amount on an adapter at the hotel/resort/local area, buy the one above or something similar!
Do you travel abroad or in areas where theft is on high alert? I don’t know about you all, but even in the airport I appreciate this backpack more than you can understand.
I was gifted this small backpack in 2021, right after the pandemic. I rarely used it but my Godparents persisted in making sure I understood the importance of a backpack like this in certain areas of Europe/world (their daughter travels ALL over the world, all the time).
My favorite feature of the backpack is the small pocket on the outside where I can easily access my chapstick, Kleenex, or any other simple item without taking the pack off. I also LOVE the hidden pocket on the inside where I usually keep my passport or any cash I have on me as it is much more difficult to get too even with the backpack off.
7. LAST BUT NOT LEAST- Apple Watch Portable Charger
I left this last as not everyone is an Apple fan. Again, my parents opened my eyes to this easy, affordable option so HIGHLY recommend but sadly only Apple users benefit. (I get it, my husband has Android so no benefit to him either!).
It took me 2 trips to get used to this charger but as long as there is a USB or Wall plug in the room where the charger can sit horizontal to the floor, it is AMAZING! Verses having to keep up with a long cord and wrap it, this has no cord and has a protective unit on the end for travel. My only issue was forgetting a wall block for charging! So either don’t forget your extra OR purchase an extra block below!
Wow, how did I write this much and it is my first blog! I guess I have travelled enough for an opinion on the above. I promise not every blog will be this lengthy as I doubt ONLY a few have made it to the end of this. Keep reading though for something you don't want to miss!
